Staging Your Home for Spring

3/18/2016

With spring time here at last, you might be wondering what you can do to liven up your sleepy home. There are many options with spring staging that will aid you in selling your home. Follow these 4 tips to stage your home for spring.

1. Spring Cleaning

De-clutter your home by throwing out any unnecessary items and furniture. A cluttered room will appear small and dirty, which is never attractive to potential buyers. Reorganize, move furniture, create more open space and make the room seem larger and more inviting. Be weary of too many dark colors, or too much furniture, as it can cause a room to look smaller than it actually is.

2. Repaint

As previously mentioned, dark colors can cause some rooms to appear small and cramped. Neutral colors on the walls paired with a few vibrantly colored pieces of furniture can liven up the whole house. A fresh coat of paint can make a world of difference to any room.

3. Replace Dated Cabinets

Bathroom and kitchen cabinets can be replaced to give your home a beautiful, clean, and modern appeal. They can be painted to pair perfectly with surrounding furniture and areas. (Also, a flower arrangement in the kitchen and bathroom would definitely sing “Spring!”)

4. Create Functional Space

Some areas of a home may seem awkward and even unusable. But with a few creative touches they can serve as functional and a great feature to a home. Install shelves, unique bookcases, desks, and you can turn an old storage space into a valuable office space.
